What's the power output of a 20kW solar wind generator?

This 20kW solar wind generator is for households with a daily electricity consumption of over 120KWH.

We know that the power generation of this system is provided by solar panels and wind turbines, so PVMARS will describe them separately.

What's the minimum solar panel requirement for a 20kW hybrid system?

What is the wind turbine size for a 20kW wind-solar hybrid system?

PVMARS’s 20kw hybrid system has a 10kW horizontal axis. If your local average wind speed is higher than 5m/s and the installation space is limited, we can reduce the number of solar panels and increase the wind turbine’s power.

How does your 20kW wind-solar hybrid system work?

An inverter is the core of the system.

Wind and sun power flow into the battery through the wind and solar hybrid controller, and the battery converts direct current.

Off grid wind solar hybrid system for home use

 If your home appliances use AC power (such as refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines), you need an inverter to convert DC power into AC power.

Among them, the inverter power is closely related to the electrical load power you use. if your house power exceeds 20kw. Our team can design a 25kw inverter and a 20kw solar wind turbine, or bigger.

PVMARS conventional inverters can choose between MOS tubes and IGBT modules, but we recommend IGBT modules.

The IGBT is more efficient than the MOS tube, but the price will also increase accordingly (if you’re interested in the MOS tube inverter, please contact us).

What is the battery capacity of a 20kW solar wind turbine?

The gel battery of this 20kw wind and solar hybrid system is designed with 40pcs 12v200ah batteries with a total capacity of 96kWh.

But to extend battery life, gel batteries have deep cycles of 70%-85%. That means the total capacity should be 67.2kWh.

The battery capacity is related to the time you use electrical appliances.

If you only turn on air conditioners, computers, TVs, refrigerators, and other loads at night, the 67.2kwh battery capacity is also sufficient. This is because wind turbines provide continuous power at night.

In addition, PVMARS also offers lithium battery options. If your installation location is limited and you want more power, our small-volume 1-unit 96kWh lithium battery is also an excellent choice.

A 20kW solar wind turbine system takes up how much space?

Generally speaking, the installation area of a 20kW solar-wind hybrid system is approximately 50 square meters (538.19552 ft2).

Solar panels are calculated from the roof area: 16 x 580W PV panels occupy approximately 42 square meters. 40 x 12v 200AH gel batteries will require approximately 1.5 square meters of installation area.

There are also relatively small proportions of inverters and wind turbines. Solar and wind controllers can be mounted on the wall.

Therefore, we should consider the installation area inside and outside the house.

However, in general, a 20kw wind and solar hybrid system does not occupy much area.
