How does your 100kW wind-solar hybrid system work?

An inverter is the core of the system.

Wind and sun power flow into the battery through the wind and solar hybrid controller, and the battery converts direct current.

 If your appliances use AC power (such as refrigerators, air conditioners, and washing machines), you need an inverter to convert DC power into AC power.

Among them, the inverter power is closely related to the electrical load power you use. if your house power exceeds 100kw. Our team can design a 150kw inverter and a 100kw solar wind turbine, or bigger.

PVMARS conventional inverters can choose between MOS tubes and IGBT modules, but we recommend IGBT modules.

What is the battery capacity of a 100kW solar wind turbine?

The gel battery of this 100kw wind and solar hybrid system is designed with 180pcs 2v1000ah batteries with a total capacity of 360kWh.

But to extend battery life, gel batteries have deep cycles of 85%-90%. That means the total capacity should be 324kWh.

The battery capacity is related to the time you use electrical appliances.

If you only turn on air conditioners, computers, TVs, refrigerators, and other loads at night, the 324kwh battery capacity is also sufficient. This is because wind turbines provide continuous power at night.

In addition, PVMARS also offers lithium battery options. If your installation location is limited and you want more power, our small-volume 1-unit 360kWh lithium battery is also an excellent choice.

How much space does a 100kW solar wind turbine take up?

Generally speaking, the installation area of a 100kW solar-wind hybrid system is approximately 260 square meters (2799 ft2).

Solar panels are calculated from the roof area: 91 x 580W PV panels occupy approximately 237 square meters. 180 x 2v 1000AH gel batteries will require approximately 5.6 square meters of installation area.

There are also relatively small proportions of inverters. Solar and wind controllers can be mounted on the wall.

Therefore, we should consider the installation area inside and outside the house.
